This is one of the 'Margaret the ballerina' series illustrations. I've always enjoyed drawing people, especially dynamic dancers. My favourite is ballerinas because I'm attracted to their beauty, elegance, precise postures and movements. For some bizarre reason, I can sometimes see humour hidden within. I've chosen a plump ballerina, Margaret, because she's elegant. And I think it's only fair to draw a 'plus size' figure when most advertising campaigns are promoting 'slim figures'. Margaret enjoys life, just like you and me, living the life and enjoying it whenever she can. Plus, she loves dancing and animals.
